Groot Kokanje
Kokanje Self Catering Beach House (It means in Afrikaans Lui Lekker Land) is a beautiful holiday home in the coastal village of Struisbaai. This beach house is 200 m from the sea and popular fishing spot. This holiday village boasts pristine white beaches, white-lime fishing cottages, fishing boats and a working harbour.
The double storey house offers breath taking views of the coastline and sleeps 8 guests. The main bedroom is upstairs and has a double bed, an on-suite bathroom and a sea-view balcony. There are 3 downstairs bedrooms, 2 of which each have a double bed and the third one has 2 single beds. The downstairs bedrooms each lead to a patio and share a bathroom with a shower and a bath. The house leads to a garage with 2 bunk beds (sleep extra 4 children) available at an additional cost.
There is a spacious open-plan upstairs kitchen that is fully equipped for self-catering. There is also another well-equipped kitchenette on the lower floor. The upstairs living area have a TV, full DSTV, indoor braai facilities and a balcony with a spectacular sea view.
Further facilities include an outdoor braai area, a fish processing table, an outdoor dining area, a laundry room, free Wi-Fi and parking.
Klein Kokanje
Klein Kokanje is a charming holiday cottage 200 m from the sea and popular fishing spot in Struisbaai. This popular coastal village has one of the longest white beaches, colourful boats, a harbour and ample coastal town charm.
This house has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 guests. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. These rooms have access to 2 bathrooms. There is also an open-plan kitchen and living area. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, dishwasher and a 6-seater dining table.
In the lounge area there is a TV with DSTV, an indoor braai, pool table and a patio with patio furniture. Wi-Fi and parking for a vehicle and small boat are provided. The main beach is great for kayaking, boating, surfing, boarding, fishing and kite surfing. Guests can also pick up shells, walk on the beach or whale watching.
Nicely decorated and spotlessly clean
Lovely, comfortable and close to the dunes and beach. Nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed sitting upstairs on the balcony (there was no one staying in that flat) and having our coffee in the morning. Elmare was a great host...and there were lots of nice touches, like chocolates and rusks!

What a great place! Ben and Elmaré are great hosts that will go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. The house has EVERYTHING you might need and more. We absolutely loved the indoor braai with potjie, the lazy Sunday balcony, the walk to the harbour and Sea Shack and the great views.

Thanks for the wonderful stay! The sunrise visible from the front patio is spectacular. The windows in the master bedroom let a lovely ocean breeze through and lying in the master bedroom, you can see the ocean. The place is fantastic. We loved staying for the night! Very romantic!
What a treat!
Loved waking up in a light, bright room with the sound of waves crashing on the shore. I got to enjoy a cup of tea on the balcony on a perfectly wind - still morning - what a treat! Althought I rented a private room, the entire house would make a fantastic venue for a family getaway with multiple bedroom and a games room!

Elmaré is a lovely hostess who provided a comfortable and convenient place to stay. There were thoughtful extras such as body wash and filtered water. The accommodation is extremely close to the sea. I highly recommend staying here.
Super close to the beach
I would highly recommend staying at Elmare's bnb. So convenient, super close to the beach and not too far from Cape Agulhas!
